Ruby Ridge

Rate this post

Ruby Ridge was the site of an 11-day siege in 1992 in Boundary County, Idaho, near Naples. It began on August 21, when deputies of the United States Marshals Service initiated action to apprehend and arrest Randy Weaver under a bench warrant after his failure to appear on firearms charges.

In 1983, the Weavers packed up their belongings and moved to a place in rural Idaho, just 40 miles south of the Canadian border, known as Ruby Ridge. Vicki claimed to have dreams and visions of the family living on a mountaintop, and that’s just what they did. They built a cabin with no running water or electricity and began living off the land.
