Generation Alpha, born from 2010 onwards, is the first generation brought up by the internet. What world will they be living in?
Societal and technological changes have influenced the behaviours and experiences of each generation but Generation Alpha is unique as it is the first generation to be brought up by the internet and this has been the subject of much concern and discussion. Generation Alpha are considered the most digitally native generation yet, having grown up surrounded by technology. They are hyperconnected and spend hours in front of screens, becoming accustomed to driving and programming them through devices. They are independent when it comes to making their own decisions and managing their digital lives. Generation Alpha is characterised by being digital natives and spending hours and hours in front of screens. They are the most materially endowed generation ever and the most technologically savvy generation ever.
