We go back in time to 1973, Australia's largest computer predicted trends such as pollution levels, population growth, availability of natural resources and quality of life on earth.

, an international organisation founded in 1968, gained significant attention with its 1972 report titled “.” This report, based on computer modelling, warned of potential civilisation collapse if unsustainable practices like over-extraction of resources, pollution, and unsustainable population growth continued unchecked.

The computer modelling scenarios presented in “” suggested two possible outcomes for humanity: one where sustainable and equitable practices lead to flourishing, and another where continued exploitation of resources could result in the collapse of human civilisation by the mid-21st century.
