The results of western meddling have been nothing short of disastrous. It's a story about the deep and complex history Ukraine, a country across its eastern border is Russia and to its west – Europe.

For centuries, these lands have been at the center of a tug-of-war between powers seeking to control its rich lands and access to the Black Sea. Now the US and NATO are determined to control the country's future and use it as a staging post to challenge Russian influence in the region.
